Oh Morocco! Brings back so many memories. For our honeymoon, we drove 1,000 miles throughout Morocco and it was an unforgettable trip. And I actually just made a chicken tagine this week to bring back the delicious flavors of that place ;)

The quality of the light is extraordinary!

You can get by in English but French is definitely an asset if you want to go beyond bartering in the souk or being ‘helped’ by a ‘guidé!

Wow what a tantalising place. My parents took us years ago so I don't remember more than not enjoying the food!!!

Sounds wonderful, and the colors in the photos are so vivid! 🤩

Highlights included a home made stew( name unknown) they made in their riad.

My memories of Marrakech date back to the mid 70s. What you say about life in the medina is so true, but in those pre-smartphone days, there was even one more 'hazard' to negotiate. No sooner had you captured the moment than you would be surrounded by youngsters, hands extended and crying "Dirham! Dirham!" for their 'contribution' to your touristic memento And as you experienced, resistance was utterly futile!

Thank you for the personal tour and survival tips. We are going there next week and if we come out alive it will be because we have listened to you.
